Biography

César Bejarano (born 1981, Guadalajara, México) is an architect, designer and artist currently based in Madrid. Although he does not consider himself to be a photographer, this website is dedicated exclusively to his photographs.

His work as an architect and designer has won multiple international awards, such as the German Design Award, A' Design Award, Good Design Award, among many others. He expects the same to be true of his photographs.

"I am a filter. Nourishment, oxygen and experiences go in, and shit, CO2 and art come out."

Statement

As an artist, I explore and express my unique perspective on the world through my chosen medium, which in this case is black and white photography. I aim to create thought-provoking and visually captivating images that challenge the viewer's perception of reality and invite them to see ordinary objects in a new light.

Through my work, I strive to evoke emotions, spark imagination, and provoke contemplation. I want to take familiar objects and remove them from their usual context, creating a sense of intrigue and mystery. By decontextualizing these objects, I hope to encourage viewers to question their preconceived notions and to look beyond the surface appearance of things.

The process of conceptualizing an idea, bringing it to life through photography, and seeing it materialize is deeply gratifying to me. The joy and satisfaction I derive from seeing my visions transformed into tangible artworks motivate me to continue pushing the boundaries of my creativity.

Ultimately, I want my work to resonate with others and provide them with an aesthetic and intellectual experience. I hope that my photographs inspire viewers to explore their own imagination and appreciate the beauty and wonder that can be found in the everyday objects that surround us.
